The present invention relates to an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery containing a non-aqueous organic solvent, lithium salt, and an antimony fluoride-based electrolyte additive containing SbF_5, the electrolyte containing 0.01 to 3 wt% of the electrolyte additive and the lithium salt being contained in the electrolyte at a concentration of 0.1 to 3 M, and to a lithium secondary battery using same. The lithium secondary battery according to the present invention has excellent high-temperature stability and shows excellent discharge capacity characteristics even at a high temperature.
