The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing infection of Streptococcus pneumoniae comprising a NagA protein of Streptococcus pneumoniae. The NagA protein of the present invention does not detect other gram-negative bacilli, but can selectively detect Streptococcus pneumoniae, and has excellent detection sensitivity to Streptococcus pneumoniae, thereby being used for diagnosing infection of Streptococcus pneumoniae using the same.
