The present invention relates to a method for optimizing the pattern shape of a run-flat tire, which comprises: a step (a) of receiving tire pattern information, and extracting the distances of edge points on each pattern block using predetermined axes (X, Y); a step (b) of generating a tread mesh between a tread arc line and a groove bottom arc line obtained by a cross-section automation method; a step (c) of storing the tread mesh to be separated by each of the pattern blocks, and storing a nodal point on a tread arc and a nodal point on a groove bottom arc to be separated to define a contact with a road surface and a contact between a tread and a body; a step (d) of moving the tread mesh to be copied circumferentially by each of the pattern blocks using the tire pattern information; a step (e) of calculating a cross-sectional moving distance from a reference axis on a pattern drawing, and generating a pattern by cross-sectionally moving the tread mesh using the respective radii and angles of the given tread arc and groove bottom arc; a step (f) of generating a solid element using the tread mesh moved to be copied circumferentially and cross-sectionally; and a step (g) of removing the solid element on each position using information on the position on the pattern and information on the position of a kerf or a lateral groove.
