The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating diseases caused by diabetic vascular leakage comprising C-peptide (C-peptide). The C-peptide provided by the present invention can inhibit VEGF-induced VE-cadherin degradation and inhibit extracellular leakage, and thus can be widely used for prevention or treatment of various diabetic complications accompanied by vascular leakage.
