USER INTERFACE CONTROL FRAMEWORK FOR STAMPING OUT CONTROLS USING A DECLARATIVE TEMPLATE

The user interface ("UI") control framework allows UI controls to be generated declaratively similar to HTML markup, without having to write the boilerplate JavaScript required in normal UI control mode. In one particular exemplary implementation, the UI control framework is structured to be above the existing WinJS (Windows Library for JavaScript) functionality and encapsulates common behaviors across many control implementations to provide a single UI control template An instance can be used to stamp out multiple instances of a control. The UI control framework separates the layout from the "code behind" of the backing control so that the data binding can be abstracted without any clear knowledge of the layout of the control and any child controls thereof. Markup provides "anchor points" that allow code to have direct access to child controls. A custom expando HTML attribute is also used to place the named property on the control instance.
