The present invention relates to a polyp detection device and an operating method thereof. The operating method of the polyp detection device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of producing an image by photographing an object; a step of detecting a potential polyp area based on the image produced; a step of detecting a reflected light area of the detected potential polyp area; and a step of displaying a final polyp area except the detected reflected light area of the detected potential polyp area. According to the present invention, the accuracy of polyp detection can be improved because a reflected area is detected after the detection of a potential polyp area and an area which is determined as a polyp area by the reflected light can be excluded.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
