A method and an apparatus for an optical signal control using a filter in multi-casting ring network node and the protection switching in optical multiplex section are provided. A method for an optical signal control using a filter in multi-casting ring network node and the protection switching in optical multiplex section comprises steps of: outputting a third light signal by multiplexing multiple light signals; distributing the third light signal individually to a first signal line made to transmit a first light signal of multiple channels, and a second signal line made to transmit a second light signal of multiple channels; combining the first light signal and the second light signal individually with the third light signal; extracting at least part of the first light signal transmitted to the first signal line and the second light signal transmitted to the second signal line; and individually blocking at least part of the first light signal and the second light combined with the third light signal. The method may also include steps of: amplifying the first light signal and the second light signal individually; selecting one of the first light signal line and the second light signal line; and separating the light signal of a signal line selected from the first signal line and the second signal line, in channels.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
