The present invention discloses a fireproofing material using blast furnace slag powder having an ettringite structure, the powder thereof, and a construction method using the same. The fireproofing material includes: 40 to 60 wt% of gypsum; 10 to 35 wt% of the blast furnace slag powder; 1 to 9 wt% of alkaline stimulants; 0.1 to 40 wt% of the admixture of endothermic flame-retardant fillers and lightweight aggregate; and residue water.
