摘要

The experimental results on the design of fireproof coatings based on paint and varnish silicate composites and starch solutions oxidized by oxygen are reported. The water glass modified by ethyl silicate is used as a silicate coating. These coatings on paper samples and the surface of other porous materials, such as fabrics and polyurethane foam samples, are foamed in contact with a flame and form a layer that prevents propagation of the burning front. It is revealed that the treatment of conducting materials with fireproof composites does not lead to a substantial change in their surface resistance in the microwave range.
