The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing or prognosing pulmonary disease using ROMO1. More specifically, according to the method, pulmonary disease such as pneumonia, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, tuberculosis, and non-small cell carcinoma is diagnosed or prognosed by measuring the amount of ROMO1 gene or protein existing in body fluid. According to the present invention, pulmonary disease can be exactly and easily diagnosed or prognosed from a small amount of the body fluid.
