The present invention relates to an Ag-BaTiO_3 composite dielectric composition and a method for producing the same, The method includes: a first step of using a barium precursor and a titanium precursor as starter raw materials in a solution precipitation process; a second step of making the starter raw materials react in a reaction tank at 80-95C for 6-24 hours by using a sol-gel method in the solution precipitation process; a third step of producing a mixed solution by introducing metal silver particles and using the sol-gel method and dispersion reaction after the second step; and a fourth step of forming the composite dielectric by drying the mixed solution after the third step. Permittivity of the Ag-BaTiO_3 composite dielectric composition is higher than that of pure barium titanate as barium titanate ceramic powder is produced by a sol-gel ceramics process and then the composite dielectric composition is formed by mixing the nanopowder with the metal silver particles. Moreover, the Ag-BaTiO_3 composite dielectric composition can be used as a capacitor dielectric because loss by voltages does not occur even though the composition includes a metal core island.
