An induction motor drive device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a flux observer unit to determine the rotor flux based on an output voltage and an output current supplied to an induction motor; a torque calculation unit to determine output torque of the induction motor based on the rotor flux; and a torque control unit to determine a compensation quantity for an output frequency used in determining the output voltage based on the output torque.
