The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing an echocardiographic image using a Navier-Stokes equation, wherein the invention comprises: an ultrasonic sensor for scanning a left ventricle of a heart from three different directions; an image processing unit for generating a first or a third ultrasonic image capturing a left ventricle of a heart from different directions based on the scanned resu a three-dimensional model generation unit for generating a three-dimensional model of the left ventricle of the heart based on the first or the third ultrasonic image; and a blood vector calculation unit for calculating a blood vector inside the left ventricle of the heart by applying boundary conditions of the left ventricle of the heart, which are calculated based on the three-dimensional model, to the Navier-Stokes equation. According to the present invention, the blood vector of the left ventricle of the heart is calculated by using the Navier-Stokes equation in processing the echocardiographic image. Accordingly, the present invention enables more accurate calculation of the blood vector of the left ventricle of the heart without having to input a contrast agent, and thereby enhancing convenience and accuracy in performing a cardiac diagnosis based on an ultrasonic image.
