The present invention relates to a 2-motor type hybrid power train and a HEV-HV operating force mode switching method. The power train includes a planet gear; a generator connected to a ring gear to receive rotary force from the ring gear, installed in the planet gear; an engine output shaft connected to a carrier to deliver the rotary force to the carrier, installed in the planet gear; an input shaft placed on the same shaft as the engine output shaft; a lockup clutch selectively connecting the carrier with the input shaft; an OD clutch placed on the same shaft as the lockup clutch, and selectively connecting the ring gear with the input shaft; a motor connected with a gear among multistep gears unconstrainedly included in the input shaft in order to deliver the rotary force; an engine mode output shaft including a vertical gear geared with a gear constrained in a side of the input shaft; an EV mode output shaft including a vertical gear geared with the rest of the multistep gears; and a differential shaft including a differential gear geared with the vertical gear in the EV mode output shaft and the vertical gear in the engine mode output shaft. Therefore, the number of clutch members for mode switch in the 2-motor type hybrid system is minimized.
