According to an embodiment of the present invention, a defect detecting apparatus for butt welding generates ultrasonic waves on a detection target surface using a probe to display a signal on a display part. The probe comprises: a first vibrator disposed to be close to the internal center of the probe; and a second vibrator adjacently disposed to the first vibrator.
