The present invention relates to a novel Sparassis crispa strain, CLM1 (KACC93185P) including high content of beta glucan. The content of beta glucan included in a mycelium of the strain is 20-35 wt% with respect to dried weight of a mycelium. A growth rate of the strain of the present invention is fast. In addition, beta glucan, which is a functional ingredient, contained in the strain of the present invention can be applied to pharmaceutical products, and dietary supplements and beverages. Moreover, the strain of the present invention can be identified by using variation of RNA polymerase second largest subunit II (RPB2) nucleotide and amino acid sequences as a screening marker.
