3-LAYERED TABLET CONTAINING MOSAPRIDE CITRATE SUSTAINED-RELEASE FORMULATION FOR TREATING DISEASES IN GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT

Provided is an orally administrable three-layered sustained-release preparation, which comprises a lubricant which consists of a quick-release layer which comprises mosapride citrate, a filler, a disintegrant and a binder, and two sustained-release layers which comprise mosapride citrate, a filler, a disintegrant and a release-regulating agent, and further selectively comprises an additional binder. A three-layered mosapride citrate-containing sustained-release preparation according to the present invention reduces the time required to reach an initial effective plasma level when administered, compared to conventional sustained-release preparation which are taken one time per day, and maintains the stable release of drugs for 24 hours, so that an effective plasma level for treatment when administered can be reached quickly and maintained reliably to enhance treatment effect and to simplify a method to administer and thus enhance convenience and compliance for a patient. In addition, compared to conventional preparation consisting of a quick-release layer and a sustained-release layer, a three-layered mosapride citrate-containing sustained-release preparation according to the present invention can be reached to an initial effective plasma level as quickly, yet the time during which drugs are released therefrom can be controlled more easily.
