The present invention relates to a functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer; a method for preparing the same; and polymer modified asphalt. More specifically, the functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer includes 0.08-3.0 aldehyde structures or carboxyl structures in a copolymer molecule with respect to a weight average molecular weight of 110,000 g/mol of the block copolymer. According to the present invention, the functionalized vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon-conjugated diene block copolymer is provided to functionalize without degradation of a molecular weight; has excellent compatibility with asphalt, thereby significantly reducing process time; and significantly improves low temperature elongation and storage stability.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
