The present invention relates to a method for analyzing the amount of methane generated from a feed raw material using a near-infrared system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for analyzing and predicting the methane generation amount and the methane index by applying the methane generation amount measurement value of a feed raw material using a rumen-form continuous culture system to a near-infrared system. The limitations of animal experimentations can be overcome and the burden of required time and cost is reduced by using the method for analyzing the methane generation amount of a feed raw material using a near-infrared system according to the present invention, and the methane generation amount and the methane index can be accurately and objectively analyzed and predicted by introducing a continuous culture system similar to a digestion system of an actual lumen animal. In addition, the methane generation amount and the methane index with respect to the feed raw material can be analyzed through the near-infrared spectrum in early stage by using only feed samples, and thus the present invention can be utilized to develop an eco-friendly feed which reduces the methane generation amount while maintaining the digestion rate of the lumen animals and the decomposition rate of the feed.
