摘要

The present invention relates to a method for screening an antimicrobial agent, which can control microorganisms inducing offensive odor in an air conditioner, and to a method for removing offensive odor in the air conditioner. The method comprises the steps of: preparing Staphylococcus hominis subsp. Hominis which is a microorganism inducing offensive odor in the air conditioner, or a culture thereof; contacting a sample to be analyzed to the microorganism; measuring whether to inhibit growth of the microorganism or to reduce offensive odor; and distinguishing that the sample has an antibacterial activity to the microorganism when the growth of microorganism is inhibited or offensive odor is reduced. The microorganisms inducing offensive odor in the air conditioner of the present invention can be used for developing a novel antimicrobial agent or an air freshener to block offensive odor by defining chemical characteristics of metabolites of the microorganisms, and has usefulness in various industries by forming an environment where microorganisms cannot live in the air conditioner and fundamentally removing causes of offensive odor.
