The present invention relates to a method for measuring internet quality based on authentication and to an authentication system for the same. More specifically, according to the method, verified is whether a subscription line of a customer who requests internet quality measurement matches a line as an internet quality measurement object; and then internet quality measurement is executed with respect to the line to be measured based on the verification result. The method for measuring internet quality with respect to a line in a household of a customer includes: (a) a step of a quality measurement server transmitting customer ID information, matched to media access control (MAC) information transmitted from a quality measurement terminal connected with the line in the household, to the quality measurement terminal; (b) a step of an authentication server performing authentication by using customer ID information and IP information of the line in the house hold after receiving the customer ID information and the IP address information of the line in the household which are transmitted from the quality measurement terminal; and (c) a step of the quality measurement server executing internet quality measurement with respect to the line in the household based on the confirmation result after confirming the authentication execution result transmitted from the authentication server.
