The present invention relates to a system for detecting the position of a mine and a method for utilizing a conventional mine using the same, under the constraint that the production of a conventional mine is prohibited by the revision of the laws. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system for detecting the position of a mine, utilizing a conventional mine and a method for utilizing a conventional mine, using the same by attaching an electronic tag or USN (US Navy) tag to a conventional mine and by displaying position data of a corresponding mine on an electronic map through a detecting device after burying a mine attached with the electronic tag or the USN tag. To achieve the above purpose, the system for detecting the position of a mine comprises: a conventional mine which is buried in the ground; an electronic tag or a USN tag which is attached to the conventional mine and includes an identification number; and a detector which is configured to have a portability to detect the conventional mine, has a GPS function, acquires positional data of the current position when moving, and receives the identification number from the electronic tag or the USN tag when positioning within an available range of communications of the electronic tag or the USN tag. The detector records the GPS data of a mine together with the identification number on the electronic map at the time when the identification number of a mine is inputted by being positioned within an available range of communications of the electronic tag or the USN tag.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
