The present invention relates to a tidal current generator using water flowing by a tide. The present invention provides a cylindrical turbine tidal current generator using flow of ebb and flood comprising: a rectangular inlet container in an upper part having a rectangular passage whose right/left are completely opened, including a damper freely moving in the center of bilateral symmetry, to close a passage in the opposite direction by being pushed when water flows, to allow water to pass through a center part and to flow into a lower part, and combined with a housing of a cylindrical turbine generator in the center part; the cylindrical housing in a center part to ensure a space where a cylindrical turbine generator can be installed while water flowing from an upper part flows in a lower part by changing in a vertical direction as the rectangular inlet container in an upper part and a rectangular outlet in a lower part are vertically combined, and to integrally install the cylindrical turbine and the generator in a land plant; and the rectangular outlet in a lower part having a rectangular passage whose right/left are completely opened, and including a damper freely operated to allow water coming from the upper inlet to flow out in the same direction by opening or closing water horizontally passing. Therefore, the good quality of electrical power can be generated by using tidal current flowing in both directions by operating a cylindrical turbine generator while bidirectional tidal current always vertically flows from an upper part to a lower part in a cylindrical housing.
