The present invention relates to an automatic calibration method for a virtual camera based on a mobile platform. The method can be used to calibrate multiple images recorded by the camera. The method can improve the accuracy of an augmented reality matching technology by improving the accuracy of the measurement of the distance between the mobile platform and a target object and reducing error rate of the internal parameters. The method includes: an image acquisition step (S10) of using the camera arranged on the mobile platform to input four or more image of the target object in different directions; a preprocessing step (S20) of detecting multiple straight lines from each input image; a vanishing point detecting step (S30) of deriving the average line by classifying the types of the detected straight lines and using the average line to derive a vanishing point and obtain the coordinates of the vanishing point; and a parameter value deriving step (S40) of applying the coordinates of the detected vanishing point to a calibration formula to calculate the internal parameter values.
