The present invention relates to a high density photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy using three-dimensional spherical macromolecules and a method for producing the same. In a high molecule-photosensitizer complex, the high molecule is a water soluble three-dimensional spherical macromolecule and is Octa-ammonium POSS; the complex is generated as the high molecules, the photosensitizer and unsaturated fatty acid are bound to each other by peptide bonds. The spherical macromolecule is in a nano-microspheres in an aqueous solution. The method for producing the high density photosensitizer includes the steps of: dissolving Octa-ammonium POSS in ultrapure water; dissolving the photosensitizer and a catalyst in an organic solvent; dissolving fatty acid and a catalyst in an organic solvent; and mixing the solutions obtained in earlier steps and making the solutions react. A singlet oxygen production rate and an accumulation rate with respect to cancer cells are increased, when compared to single use of the photosensitizer, as oleic acid with chlorine e6, which is a chlorine derivative with a high concentration, is synthesized in Octa-ammonium POSS, which is the spherical macromolecule and is used. The composite has reduced toxicity on cells and thus can be advantageously used for not only photodynamic therapy but also photodynamic diagnosis. Therefore, the composite of the present invention can be advantageously used as a single drug for treating and diagnosing cancer.
