The present invention provides a touch position detection method of a touch panel which can improve detection precision of a touch position, a touch panel inspection method, and a touch panel inspection apparatus. The touch position detection method of a touch panel according to the present invention comprises: a detection processing process of obtaining an electrostatic capacitance value detected by each detection area (101) of the touch panel (100), a correction process of calculating each correlation correction value by correcting respective electrostatic capacitance values based on a correlation value table (6) which digitizes an effect that electrostatic capacitance value of another detection area (101) adjacent to each detection area (101) has with respect to electrostatic capacitance value of each detection area (101); a maximum value searching process of searching a maximum value among correlation correction values; and a touch position obtaining process of taking a detection area corresponding to a maximum value as a maximum area and calculating a center-of-gravity position based on correlation correction value with respect to an area which includes: the maximum area and another detection area adjacent to the maximum area, and obtaining the calculated center-of-gravity position as a touch position.
