Disclosed are a social network service providing system and method for setting the relationship between users by using a position and motion pattern of a mobile terminal. The social network service providing system comprises: an information receiving unit for receiving information with respect to a position and motion pattern of a mobile terminal by a request for setting human network relation from the mobile terminal; an information storage controlling unit for storing the information with respect to the received position and motion pattern in a database by correlating the same with information with respect to a user of the mobile terminal; an information providing unit for providing information with respect to a user of another mobile terminal to the mobile terminal by inquiring the information in the database based on the information with respect to the position and motion pattern; and an information storing unit for storing information with respect to a user of the mobile terminal and information with respect to a user of another mobile terminal by correlating with each other if information with respect to a user of another mobile terminal is selected from the mobile terminal. The present invention has an effect of providing a social network service according to the set human network relation for a user of the mobile terminal and a user of another mobile terminal by setting the human network relation as a friend online between a user of the mobile terminal and a user of another mobile terminal by storing information with respect to both the users by correlating with each other.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
