The present invention relates to a multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor system, a controlling method for the multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor system, a program, and a recording medium. The present invention inhibits an occurrence of a muting error and improves productivity by shortening operation starting time of production facilities. The multi-optical axis photoelectric sensor system comprises: a light shielding determining part which determines whether a projector, an optical receiver, an optic axis formed between the projector and the optical receiver are in a light shielding state; and a muting processing part to temporarily undo a light shielding determination on condition of which a detecting signal inputted from an external muting machine changes in accordance with a predetermined sequence. The muting processing part distinguishes a sequence order of a detecting signal in the muting machine into a plurality of stages during muting. In addition, the muting processing part accumulates and analyzes measurement information acquired from each stage, and determines a set point optimal for condition of a muting motion based on an analysis result.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
