The present invention relates to a composition for improving a liver function comprising a fermented garlic extract as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the fermented garlic extract to which fermentation and enzyme degradation steps are applied has an effect on improving an alcoholic fatty liver disease as well as exhibiting a higher cycloalliin content than an only garlic extract or a fermented garlic extract to which a fermentation is applied.
