Disclosed are a method for providing a virtual user interface for reading medical images and a virtual user interface apparatus for reading medical images. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for providing a virtual user interface for reading medical images comprises the steps of: overlaying a virtual jog shuttle, which is a virtual user interface, in a part of a display area, where medical images for reading are displayed, and displaying; receiving a first input of the user for causing a movement of the virtual jog shuttle; creating an input signal corresponding to the movement of the virtual jog shuttle caused by the first input; checking the type of medical images for reading displayed in the display area and checking the function of the input signal created corresponding to the type of medical image for reading, which is checked; and, processing an operation for the medical image for reading displayed in the display area by using the function of the input signal checked and the input signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
