Disclosed is a method to manufacture intermetallic compounds. The purpose of the present invention is to obtain monocrystals by heating and synthesizing metals such as europium (Eu) or strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), indium (In), and germanium (Ge). The synthetic reaction comprises the steps of: inputting metals such as europium (Eu) or strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), indium (In), and germanium (Ge) into a reaction vessel; heating the reaction vessel in an electric arc up to 960C at an interval of 200C per hour; proceeding a process by maintaining a temperature at 960C for 20 hours; cooling the reaction vessel by lowering the temperature from 960C; drawing the reaction vessel from the electric arc, and centrifuging the reaction vessel; and removing an excess metallic indium which remains after usage for synthesis.
