The present invention relates to a network based data loss prevention (NDLP) appliance system for supporting load-balancing and duplexing using mirroring and inline schemes, and a load-balancing and duplexing method using the same. The NDLP appliance system according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a fault recovering device to exchange an Ethernet signal transmitted/received between an external network and an internal network through an In-line scheme or a mirroring scheme; and two NDLP appliance devices connected to a network between the external network and the internal network. Each of the two NDLP appliance devices includes: a hardware engine including a high availability (HA) filter unit to pass an entire portion or a portion of an input packet for the load distribution, and a packet processing unit to selectively process an upload packet by analyzing the packet received from the HA filter unit; and a software engine including an HA control software engine to detect the fault of the two NDLP appliance devices based on the Ethernet signal and to control a ratio of passing the input packet by the HA filter unit depending on the occurrence of the fault, and a DLP software engine to control the processing of the packet of the packet processing unit.
