The present invention relates to a safety management system of a fork lift truck, comprising: a vehicle terminal which is installed in a fork lift truck to acquire and store peripheral image information and speed information of the fork lift truck, and to transmit image information and speed information of a predetermined section based on an event occurrence time if an event is detected; a management server to store and manage the image information and the speed information which are received from the vehicle terminal; and a display device to display the image information and the speed information which are stored in the management server. According to the present invention, the safety management system allows a manager to promptly handle an accident and to easily analyze causes of an event by monitoring, in real time, the event occurring in the fork lift truck such as a crash, thereby efficiently managing safety.
