Disclosed are a freeze protection system using flare heat recovery and an operation method thereof. The freeze protection system using flare heat recovery comprises: an expansion tank which stores heat media; a first pump which circulates the heat media along a first circulation path to interact with a flare gas discharge system and to perform a heat-exchange with exhaust gas according to flare combustion; and a second pump which circulates the heat media along a second circulation path to transfer heat to target equipment arranged on the second circulation path and to perform a freeze protection process.
