The present invention relates to a single-junction thermal converter for accurately measuring an AC current. The present invention relates to a multi-junction thermal converter which increases an input voltage and an output voltage and has a rated input voltage designed with a value which a user wants, and an operation method thereof. A single-junction thermal converter related to an embodiment of the present invention includes a signal input part for inputting an AC voltage to be measured; a heater which receives a current generated by the AC voltage and generates heat; glass beads which is electrically insulated from the heater and transmits the heat generated by the heater to the outside; thermocouple which converts heat transmitted by the glass beads and outputs it; and a magnification resistance which is connected in series to the heater and increases a rated input voltage. The rated input voltage can be a voltage applied to the heater and the magnification resistance.
