Antimicrobial activity of Peptides derived from olive flounder lipopolysaccharide binding protein, and use thereof

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an antimicrobial peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence described in SEQ. ID. NO: 3 to 7, and a pharmaceutical composition and food additives for antibiosis containing the same as an active ingredient. The present invention relates to a peptide analogue (offLBP peptide analogue) derived from a lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP/BPI,ofLBP) of olive flounder, and a use thereof. As a result of checking antimicrobial activities of the peptide, it is confirmed that the peptide has antimicrobial activities against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, so the peptide analogue may be useful as natural antibiotics.
