The present invention relates to a composition for including cell senescence and a method for inducing cell senescence. The composition can induce cell senescence by inhibiting the heparan sulfate 2-O sulfotransferase 1 (HS2ST1) gene in a tumor cell and thus provides an anti-cancer effect in a tumor cell. In the present invention, a composition for inducing cell senescence includes an inhibitor against the HS2ST1 gene or protein encoded by the gene.
