The present invention relates to a complex extract of Quercus variabilis fractions and a composition comprising the same as an active ingredient for treating or preventing diabetes. The complex extract of Quercus variabilis fractions is a mixture of certain fractions of the Quercus variabilis fractions with a predetermined ratio, has excellent anti-diabetes activities, and is a safe substance which is derived from natural tree resources; thereby can be useful for developing a medicine for treating or preventing diabetes or a functional food for alleviating diabetes.
