The present invention relates to a method for improving the antioxidative activity of Cassia tora L. comprising a step for roasting the Cassia tora L., a food composition for an antioxidant containing roasted Cassia tora L., and a method for preparing Cassia tora L. with improved antioxidative activity comprising a step for roasting the Cassia tora L.. The antioxidative activity of Cassia tora L. can be dramatically improved by roasting the Cassia tora L. according to the present invention.
