A biomarker is for diagnosis to check exposure to volatile organic compounds. The biomarker of the present invention can determine exposure to volatile organic compounds such as ethylene, toluene and xylene. Therefore, the biomarker can directly check exposure to particular volatile organic compounds, even after exposure to the particular volatile organic compounds that are in low concentration.
