Use of SNP Marker in Hanwoo PLAG1 Gene for Improving Carcass Weight

摘要

The present invention relates to a SNP marker useful for judging dressed weight of Korean native cattle, a kit for judging dressed weight of Korean native cattle using the SNP marker, and a method for judging a trail of dressed weight of Korean native cattle. The SNP marker according to the present invention is strongly related to an improvement trait of dressed weight of Korean native cattle, and checks that a SNP base type having the improvement trait of dressed weight appears with extremely low frequency in Korean native cattle. Accordingly, the SNP marker discovered from the present invention can be used as a biomarker in a marker assisted selection(MAS) system of Korean native cattle, and effectively contributes an improvement of Korean native cattle in which an amount of meat is increased.
