The present invention relates to a user authentication method using both a password and biometric information. According to the present invention, the user authentication method comprises the steps of: generating a variable keypad including encryption keys and a biometric key, wherein the position of each encryption key and the position of the biometric key are changed in each generation of the keypad; transmitting the generated variable keypad to a portable terminal; receiving the positions of the encryption keys in accordance with the order of input made by a user, the position of the biometric key, and biometric information from the portable terminal; and authenticating the user based on the position of the encryption keys, the position of the biometric key, and the biometric information received from the portable terminal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
