In the present invention, provided are an apparatus and a method for capturing and collecting algae, which enable algae generated in the water like water pipes, river, lakes and sea to float and easily capture and collect algae. The apparatus comprises a main body part which is formed over raw water to move and discharges raw water having bubbles and a floc former from a rear end part; a guide raft part which is separated from the main body part, moving to the rear in a longitudinal direction, and is accordingly connected to the main body part by a connection part; and a sludge collecting part which is separated from the guide raft part, moving to the rear in a longitudinal direction, and is accordingly connected to the guide raft part by a floc guide wherein the guide raft part comprises a plurality of guide rafts which are separately installed and the floc guide connects respectively the guide rafts to the sludge collecting part, thereby enabling the guide rafts, floc guide and sludge collecting part to form a capturing area.
