The present invention relates to a blue phosphorescent organic light emitting diode comprising: an anode; a hole injection layer (HIL) formed on the anode; a hole transport layer (HTL) formed on the HIL; a first exciton blocking layer (EBL) formed on the HTL; a light emitting layer (EML) formed on the first EBL and including a blue phosphorescent dopant; a second EBL formed on the light EML; an electron transport layer formed on the HTL; and a cathode formed on the ETL. The first EBL, the second EBL, and a host of the light EML are made of the same material. The blue phosphorescent organic light emitting diode according to the present invention has EBLs on both the front surface and the rear surface of the light EML so that triplet exciton quenching on an interface of the EBL and the HTL, and on an interface of the EBL and the ETL is controlled, thereby ensuring remarkably improved efficiency.
