The present invention provides a welfare-type aquaculture tank having a rest space for fish. The welfare-type aquaculture tank comprises: an aquaculture tank which has the bottom and outer walls having a certain area and can accommodate culturing water; and a flow speed deceleration separation wall which is installed on the inside of the aquaculture tank and can reduce the speed of water current generated in the culturing water, and a rest space which is formed above, under or on one side of the flow speed deceleration separation wall, and has the speed of the water current, generated in the culturing water, which is reduced by the flow speed deceleration separation wall. Cultured fish can freely move and grow, depending on habit and health conditions of the cultured fish, between a location of the aquaculture tank in which the speed of the water current is high and aeration smoothly occurs and a location in which the speed of the water current is low and stable. Therefore, fish can be cultured in an animal welfare-type and low-stress state similar to a natural state. Accordingly, cultured fish which is healthier and has high quality can be provided.
