A method of producing ferronickel from waste furnace slag of the South Ural Nickel Plant (SUNC), characterized in that the waste furnace slag in quantities of 80-95% is crushed to a fraction of less than 5 mm, dried and calcined, and then mixed with pre-crushed ferromanganese FMN 88 such the fractions in the amount of 5-20%, the resulting cinder is fed to the melting furnace, where it is melted, then ferrous slag is released for further processing, and the obtained ferronickel is poured into molds.
