FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, chemical engineering and environmental science. Disclosed is a method for group extraction of copper, zinc and cadmium, which includes sorption concentration of metals on amberlite IRA-400, modified with 2,7-bis-azo-derivative of chromotropic acid. The amberlite is modified with 3-[(4-antipyrine)azo]-6-[(2-carboxyphenyl)azo]chromotropic acid. After concentration, metals are desorbed with a 0.05 solution of a disodium salt of ethylendiaminetetraacetic acid at pH 10 and ratio of the volume of the solution to the mass of the sorbent of 5000:1.;EFFECT: invention enables to obtain analytical concentrations in tests for metals in field conditions.;1 dwg, 3 tbl
