FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry for element analysis and can be used for laser-spark emission determination of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium and neodymium in metal alloys and powders. The method is based on exposing the surface of an analysed sample to focused laser radiation with pulse energy of 0.12-0.9 J and pulse duration of 0.02-240 mcs. Laser spark luminescence analysis is carried out, which enables to pick out spectral lines of the vapour of the determined elements and identify spectral lines. Each of the elements is determined using experimentally determined most sensitive laser emission lines of elements in the following ranges: lanthanum 390-415 nm, cerium 400-425 nm, praseodymium 410-425 nm, neodymium 400-415 nm.;EFFECT: performing laser-spark emission determination of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium and neodymium in metal alloys and powders.
