FIELD: measurement equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balancing of metal resonators of solid state wave gyroscopes (WSSG) and may be used in production of navigation devices of various purpose. The method to balance a metal gearless cylindrical resonator of a wave solid state gyroscope includes measurement of parameters of the first four forms of resonator mass defect, submersion of the resonator into a bath with electrolyte and passage of the calculated electric charge via its surface, regulated by time of DC passage, the value of which is selected on the basis of composition of electrolyte and metal of the resonator. The cylindrical resonator is submerged into electrolyte in inclined manner, the value of the central angle is established in a cylindrical wedge of the submerged part, which is equal to ?, and they match the angle of orientation of the processed surface of the cylindrical wedge with orientation of the removed form of the mass defect.EFFECT: reduced time and labour intensiveness of a process of balancing of gearless metal cylindrical resonators by first 4 forms of mass defect.5 cl, 2 dwg
