FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: proposed process comprises the steps that follow. Copper is fused and powder components mix containing graphite and chromium is added thereto. Simultaneously, obtained melt is subjected to vertical LF oscillations. Said melt is, then, subjected to crystallization. Note here that said mix of powder components is added to copper melt at 1030-1300°C at the following ratio of components, wt %: graphite - 0.2-2.0, chromium - 0.1-1.0, copper making the rest at graphite and chromium fraction composition making 0.1-10.0 mcm. The melt is subjected to mechanical activation by LF oscillations at the frequency of 40-100 Hz in fixed vessel by vibrating piston-activator immersed in the melt for intensive mixing over the entire volume for 1-10 minutes.;EFFECT: nonporous alloy with high electric arc stability, lower power and time input.;1 tbl
